NYCC Interns

If you want to be a part of an incredible journey and experience a very real, relevant, and relational church committed to seeing the lower Manhattan area changed for Christ, then the New York City Church Internship (NYCCI) program may be the place for you. If you want to learn to help build the local church from the ground up, and discover God’s purpose as you experience the adventure of a lifetime, then we encourage you to prayerfully consider the NYCCI.

As an NYCCI, you will receive broad range hands-on training that will help you learn the importance of serving and laying your life down for the Kingdom.

THE IDEA WOULD BE TO:  train, teach, and equip a specific group of young people that can help build the local church and raise up the next generation to be totally sold out for the purposes and call of God  help them fulfill their God-given mandate to reach their purpose and goals in Christ  train them up to be world changers, city takers, and young people who take a stand as they make a difference in our culture and society

The NYCCI will send you, as a young Christian leader into all walks of life. You will learn and assist in various areas of ministry rotation, such as administration, youth ministry, children’s ministry, or praise and worship. There will also be an opportunity to work with the Eternity Production 3-4 times a year to reach the harvest in local churches across the nation.

We know that God has an extraordinary plan and destiny for your life, and many young people jump into college and careers before they fully know God's plan. We encourage you to talk with your families, pray, and seek God about joining us for the NYCCI program.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE (Monday, Friday, & Sunday All Day) Interns will have weeknights off for jobs, except for one night a week designated for ministry teaching and prayer, and required to participate in all week-end outreaches and Sunday morning services.but required to participate in all week-end outreaches and Sunday morning services. The first year, each intern will rotate from team to team into areas of choice and need, and the second year, will be more focused on the individual’s specific calling and interest.

Monthly Rent is $450 per month @ 9 months

(A two month deposit is required prior to move in & rent paid directly to host home, and this amount is incredibly inexpensive for New York City. We want to really thank our hosts for being willing to provide a room for rent.)

Meals & Food Each Intern is responsible for his or her meals - Intern should budget approx $1,500.00 to cover meals All books, materials, and course work will be through New York City Church and Portland Bible College.

A deposit of $1,200 is required to start, with a remaining balance to be paid either monthly @$200 per month or in full. (Deposit does not include 2 months rental deposit to host home)

We encourage 25-30 hours a week of part time employment to help cover costs, and all interns must be approved through an application process prior to acceptance. (Deadline for applicants will be taken no later than July 31st, 2007.)
